DESCRIPTION:Isisford’s annual race meeting\, is celebrating a special milestone “150 Years” on Saturday 24 October 2026. \nIsisford Club\, a group of volunteers\, along with Racing Queensland work all year round to provide one of Isisford’s social event on the calendar. \nThe Isisford Ross Cup is a historic outback horse racing\, often dubbed as “Mini Flemington”. The day typically includes a five-race program\, Fashions on the Field\, a Calcutta and the famous steeple chase\, where mostly young guns\, smashing the jump out from the starting barriers and go head-to-head jumping hay bales to the fighting finish. Bar operating throughout the day\, with the Garden Bar highlighting the race club’s cocktail of the day. \nFun Fact – Did you know that the Isisford Races used to be named The Isisford District Amateur Turf Club and funds raised went to the Isisford District Hospital.
