The ideal time to visit the Longreach region is from April to October, during the cooler months when attractions and activities are fully operational. From mid-October to March, the area experiences high temperatures and lower visitor numbers, resulting in some attractions, tours, and shows being unavailable. Contact the Longreach Explore Centre to check which attractions and tours remain open during the off-peak season.
