The annual Isisford Fishing Competition is a much-loved outback event held each July at the scenic Oma Waterhole, just outside of Isisford. This fun-filled weekend brings together anglers of all ages to compete for great prizes, with categories including yellowbelly, black bream, catfish, and even awards for catching invasive species like sleepy cod and red claw. Alongside the fishing action, there’s live entertainment, novelty games, team events, raffles, and plenty of food and drinks on offer. With camping facilities including hot showers and toilets, it’s a fantastic weekend of fishing, camping, and community spirit in true outback style.
